Lou and Linda Pelletier take their daughter Justine to a Boston hospital for treatment. The system disagrees with what she’s being treated for. Believing her parents will not allow her to be properly treated for what they diagnose as mental illness, it essentially confiscates Justine.
Nancy Lanza decides, for whatever reason, that her son Adam no longer needs medication or treatment for his mental illness. The system shrugs and says, “okay.”
